Stopped in Beecher's for a quick afternoon snack, and got a takeaway container of their Mac N Cheese. It was creamy and flavorful, but not too rich/heavy. Their cheeses looked good too.
We tried the pumpkin curry, mango salad and green curry - all were full of fresh vegetables, and very flavorful. Elegant interior, warm inviting, fresh flowers on the table, attentive staff.
So why not 5 stars? The spice! Dear god, when I order a "3" on a scale of 1-5, I don't expect to have flames shooting out of my ears.
If you like spice, you'll LOVE Araya! If you don't, ask for a "0". Really, it's for your own good.
We stumbled into this place after finishing the nearby "Underground Tour", absolutely famished.
Longhorn didn't disappoint - my sweetie got a pulled pork sandwich, and my veggie needs were satisfied with molasses-drenched baked beans, cornbread, and tangy coleslaw. I wish we had a Longhorn in the Bay Area!
Staff was super friendly and helpful too.
Bittersweet makes the best spicy hot chocolate, I think it's the rose water that makes distinctive from all the other spicy/mayan/aztec hot chocolates out there.
Staff can be hit or miss, sometimes they're super friendly, and at other times seem annoyed to deal with customers.
Delicious, cornmeal-encrusted fillets of catfish...light, tasty fried food.
Reminded me of the time I went to New Orleans and gained five pounds in four days, and it didn't come off.
The mango-jalapeno coleslaw was excellent too, as was the cornbread with honey-jalapeno butter.
Gator's was a fun place for lunch, I bet it would be great for a date night too.

Riverbank High senior German Fernandez continued his winning ways on Saturday, capturing the Artichoke Invitational at Half Moon Bay in a course-record 11 minutes, 4 seconds.
Fernandez, who won the prestigious Stanford Invitational last Saturday, averaged 4:37 a mile on the 2.33-mile course.
"German went out at 4:36 and then maintained it," said Riverbank coach Bruce Edwards. "Even with the hill in there, he was able to average 4:37 a mile, which is pretty impressive because it's a pretty steep hill."
Riverbank's Jacob Hodges placed 21st in 13:33, Octavio Vigil 24th at 13:38. Riverbank, which rested three of its top six runners, placed fifth overall.
