One of the astronauts is chased about by those typical flesh-eating human mutants which have super-human strength and are hard to kill, so much of the theme is blood & guts. Some of the movie doesn't make sense, such as one of the astronauts coming to a revelation without letting the audience know how he came by this information, which in itself doesn't make sense anyway. The movie is about 60% gruesome, 39% mystery plot, 1% relief in the end. Walk away from the movie more tense than when you walked into it and wondering why you went to see it in the first place!
If you like raunchy, this movie is for you. The only good part is the ending.
This did not turn out to be as good as I had expected. For one thing, though the main theme was robots, the secondary theme was sex! There may not have been overt sexuality displayed, yet at every opportunity there were sexual innuendos, scenes, and suggestions. It was as if the writer was obsessed with sexuality or thought it was cool to sexualize everything, thinking that this might appeal to the Junior High crowd. Furthermore, the main plot was rather juvenile, and some of the robots acted like juveniles with their "jiv" talk. Poor acting on the part of the heroine (she seemed to have only one look on her face - something like, "Oh, I am so sexy"), and confusing robot fights (often couldn't tell who was who, or what side they were on since there was no consistent color), made this film a bit boring. My wife went to sleep and I just tried to see if it got any better as the movie went on, but it didn't. So I think this movie is rather boring for anyone with a cerebal cortex which has developed beyond the middle school age!
