Topics including planning a financial future, preparing for transitions and changing health needs, building collaborative relationships and finding renewed purpose through community service.
“With so many baby boomers getting ready to retire in the midst of today’s turbulent economy, the timing of this workshop couldn’t be more perfect,” said Kathy Patterson, Certified Financial Planner and one of the presenters. “Today people are worried both about protecting their nest egg and about how they can continue to find meaning in their lives once they no longer need to work,” she said.
Patterson will be joined by Dr. Betty Frain, attorney Sarah Glade Gurney and social services advocate Laurie Parish to conduct this free workshop to be held from 10a.m.-noon at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, 153 Stony Circle, Suite 100, Classroom A, Santa Rosa.
The workshop will be moderated by Susan Swartz, author of The Juicy Tomatoes Guide to Ripe Living after 50.
