CALISTOGA 2 die in crash on Silverado Trail

Two Calistoga residents, a teenage girl and a young man, died in a car crash Monday in Napa County, the CHP said.

Alexandra Finney, 17, and Aaron Porter, 21, were killed in the 9:20 p.m. crash on the Silverado Trail. They were not wearing seat belts, the CHP said.

Porter and Finney were headed south on the Silverado Trail in a 2000 Ford F-150 driven by Porter. The truck came up behind a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Ronald Goldin, 51, of Calistoga. Goldin had slowed and was about to turn left into a driveway, the CHP said.

As Goldin started his left turn across the northbound lane, the right front of the Ford sideswiped the left front of the Chevy, the CHP said.

Porter's Ford then hit a telephone pole and overturned.

Goldin reported minor injuries.
