International opera star Stephanie Blythe has garnered legions of fans with her rich, sumptuous voice. In 2009, she was named Musical America's "Vocalist of the Year." She appears regularly in title roles with the Metropolitan Opera as well as in concert with the world's leading orchestras.
This evening's program - with Craig Terry on piano - features songs made famous by Kate Smith, the American "Songbird of the South" whose music helped lift spirits during the Depression and World War II.
