Grab a pair of shades and a cold brew -- it's time to celebrate some of

Northern California's best roots-style guitarists, harmonica players and

vocalists.

The Boonville Folk-Blues Festival gets down and gritty noon to 6 p.m.

Saturday at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Booneville. Headliners include

Arkansas-born Delta bluesman Robert Lowery and harmonica player Virgil

Thrasher. Also on the bill are Ragtime Rick Blaufeld, Thom Davis and Dave

Dart.

Beer, wine and soft-drink sales will benefit KZYX&Z Mendocino County Public

Radio. Tickets are $15, $10 for seniors and children under 12. Phone: 895-3738
